Its convenience, more than anything, is what makes it one of the best places in Bahamas. For more on where to do in Bahamas, read our Staniel Cay guide.

They are characterized by beautiful beaches and cays and dozens of sand bars which only show themselves at low tide. The Berry Islands are known as the “Fishbowl of the Bahamas” because it is said that fishing is plentiful and the best in the country in that region of the islands. Fishing enthusiasts will be amazed at the variety and exoticness of the catch there. You can read more about Berry Islands in our tell-all guide to a few of the hottest and best places in the Bahamas there.
8. Spanish Wells Bahamas
Spanish Wells is one of the best places in Bahamas for adventure enthusiasts. It is fairly isolated just off the northernmost point of Eleuthera Island so don’t expect a ton of amenities. But what it lacks in the luxuries, it makes up for in adrenaline. Check out our guide to Spanish Wells if you would like to know more.
9. Elbow Cay Bahamas
Elbow Cay is another of the out islands which does not get as much credit (or visitors) as it deserves. It is unfortunate because so many people are missing out on pure beauty, however, it is good for those who can read more about Elbow Cay and find the time to visit and know what to do because it will feel as if you have the island to yourself. Elbow Cay is located just east of the Abaco Islands.

Compass Cay Bahamas
Compass Cay, not too far from many of the great Bahamas attractions of the Exuma Cays, is filled with adrenaline. Here at Compass Cay, you are afforded the possibility of swimming with a lagoon full of Reef Sharks!
They were originally kept as pets, but after seeing how many people love these guys, it was turned into a rehabilitation center and is now swarming with these gentle giants. They are seafloor-dwelling creatures, so the water is very shallow and they are harmless if not probed. So, don’t be afraid!
