The Warwick Paradise Island

The Nassau area is home to two major islands: New Providence, which houses the capital city, and Paradise Island (previously known as Hog Island), which features many of the country’s biggest resorts. Warwick Paradise Island – Bahamas is on the latter island. 

In the 1960s, the region began attracting tourists from around the world. During this time, investors and real estate moguls poured massive sums of money into developing the islands. 

The structure of the Warwick Nassau Bahamas originated during this era, first as The Flagler Inn. From there, it passed into the hands of numerous other brands before reopening as Bahamas Warwick Paradise Island Resort in 2017. This followed $50 million dollars of renovations. 

Rooms at Warwick Nassau Bahamas

During the low season, accommodation costs at Bahamas Warwick Paradise Island start at around $320 per night (as of 2024*). This gets you an island-view room with either two doubles or a king bed. The total living space is around 300 square feet. Rooms with better views can cost up to $510 per night. The most luxurious accommodation option, a 650-square-foot suite, costs $966 per night.

Accommodations range from standard rooms to spacious suites.

If you’re traveling during the high season, expect to add a couple of hundred dollars onto these prices. However, it’s important to note that the resort offers numerous discounts throughout the year that can offset costs. The “Color Your Summer” discount, for example, offers travelers 20% off standard rates. There are also early bird specials for booking in advance. 

Regardless of which of the 250 room options you end up choosing, you can expect comfortable amenities. All rooms have bathtubs and desks, with more expensive accommodation options having private balconies and separate living spaces.

Food and Dining Options

Bahamas Warwick Paradise Island Resort features enough culinary variety to keep travelers satiated throughout their trips. The all-inclusive hotel offers five unique dining options:

• Verandah: Art-deco-inspired poolside dining with themed dinners throughout the week
• Tings on a Stick: Bright and colorful decor with Asian-inspired delicacies 
• Chickcharnie’s Pizzeria and Grille: Indoor/outdoor dining with pizza, burgers, and bar snacks like jerk wings
• Edgewater Grill: Outdoor harborside restaurant with fresh seafood and grilled meats 
• Abbiocco: Old-world ambiance with a rustic Italian menu 

Likewise, the resort is also home to two bars:

• Hog Bar: Harborfront bar named after Hog Island
• Rum Cay Lobby Bar: Colorful bar serving rum and other tropical drinks

The Pool

Bahamas Warwick Paradise Island has an enormous 330,000-gallon pool. Lined by lounge chairs and bordered by Hog Bar, it’s a great place to socialize, enjoy a drink, or just relax. There’s also a hot tub, which is perfect for crisp non-summer evenings. 

Amber Spa

Travelers looking to pamper themselves can stop by Amber Spa. Offering various treatments, therapies, and massages, the spa is the perfect place to unwind.

Spa hours are from 9 am to 6 pm, with non-guests being able to enjoy the different treatments offered as well.

While the Nassau Harbour is a beautiful backdrop, venture to Cabbage Beach for more space.

The Warwick Nassau beach isn’t big, as the resort sits right on Nassau Harbour. While it offers excellent views of the boats passing by, you might find yourself craving a more expansive beach to explore.

If you find yourself in that boat, take a short ten-minute walk to northern Paradise Island to visit Cabbage Beach. Besides being larger (the beach is between two to three miles long), it’s also one of the prettiest beaches in Nassau. 

Getting to Warwick Paradise Island

The Nassau airport is on the main island of New Providence, not Paradise Island. The easiest way to get to The Warwick Paradise Island is to take a taxi. The ride should take around 30 minutes and cost around $40. 

Like many hotels in the area, Bahamas Warwick Paradise Island Resort has a day pass option. These cost $130 or $160 per person (as of 2024*), depending on the package you choose. Once you’re at the resort, you’ll then be able to enjoy access to most of the hotel, along with food and drinks.
