As you soak up all that Paradise Island has to offer, make sure to stop by The Marina Village Atlantis. With myriad options for food and shopping, as well as excellent opportunities to check out mega yachts, it’s the perfect place to wind down after a busy day in Nassau.
The Marina Village Atlantis is a collection of shops and restaurants spread across an area of 65,000 square feet. Whether you’re craving conch salad or a hamburger or are looking to buy upscale designer clothes or an Atlantis Bahamas t-shirt, you can find everything you’d need at the Atlantis Marina Village.
Like much of Paradise Island, the origins of Atlantis Bahamas and Marina Village Atlantis date back to the second half of the 20th century. In the late 1960s, the first hotels began appearing on the island, and in 1988, Atlantis opened its doors to the world.
Over the last 30 years, Atlantis Paradise Island has seen various additions, from the grand opening of the Cove and the Reef in 2007 to updates to Aquaventure in 2008. Marina Village Atlantis opened in 2005.
The boats that frequent the Atlantis Marina today are massive.
Today, Marina Village Atlantis is one of the most expansive shopping areas in the Nassau area, featuring products from luxury brands, local artists, and just about everything in between.
You’ll find quite a few upscale boutiques in the Marina Village Atlantis area. In the village itself, you can shop at Calypso Carousel for trendy, upscale fashion, at A La Plage for fashionable resort wear, and at Dooney & Bourke for all your leather needs. Kay’s Fine Jewelry and other nearby jewelers offer rings, necklaces, bracelets, and just about any other accessory you’re craving.
Past the village and farther in Atlantis Bahamas, you’ll find Crystal Courts Shops. Unlike the Atlantis Marina, all of these stores are air-conditioned and completely enclosed. With shops like Cartier, Gucci, and Versace in close proximity to the Atlantis casino, it’s the perfect place to try your luck and take home a big (duty-free) purchase, if you win.
