The Coral at Atlantis is the most affordable of the Atlantis Resort accommodation options. However, it still offers great amenities along with proximity to resort attractions.

Families comparing the different Atlantis Resort accommodation options will want to consider The Coral at Atlantis. One of five hotels to choose from, The Coral is conveniently located near some of the top Atlantis Paradise Island attractions. It also offers budget-friendly rates, making it an excellent option for many.

Atlantis Resort Bahamas

The Nassau area is home to two major islands: New Providence and Paradise Island. The former houses the city of Nassau itself, while the latter is a resort island, as well as the location of The Coral at Atlantis. 

Atlantis Paradise Island began its transformation into a world-class tourist destination in the 1960s. During that time, Paradise Island, as a whole, entered a period of massive development. In 1988, The Atlantis Resort Bahamas officially opened.

Since then, the resort has undergone frequent renovation, both in terms of expansion and remodeling. The Coral at Atlantis opened its doors to the public after one of these periods in 1998. 

Since then, The Coral Atlantis has undergone subsequent renovations to better match the aesthetic of The Royal Towers.

The Coral at Atlantis has spacious rooms, all of which come equipped with terraces. For a slightly higher price, you can pay for a room facing the water. Comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs, and wood floors are standard in all of the rooms.

Room prices (as of 2024*) range from around $270 to $370 per night. Suites start at around $620, with the most expensive suite costing just over $1,300 per night.

Day passes for visitors are also an option, costing $255 for adults (ages 13 and older) and $140 for children (ages 4-12).

The Lobby

The Coral features appropriately-chosen coral colors.

The lobby of The Coral at Atlantis is colorful and welcoming, like the hotel. Besides being the place to check in, it also houses games and TVs for children, as well as retail and coffee shops.

The lobby is one of the busier parts of the Atlantis Resort Bahamas, as many of the guests staying at the other hotels make their way through there upon arrival. 

Coral Pool

Coral Pool is just one of 14 pools at the resort.

While The Coral Pool is a fun place to hang out at, it’s only one of 14 pools spread across the resort. That variety makes it easy for guests to plan their days around pools and the atmospheres they provide.

Atlantis Paradise Island has over a dozen pools, but Coral Pool is one of the liveliest. With volleyball tournaments, frequent DJ performances, and dance-offs, it’s one of the best places to tap into the resort’s lively and colorful energy. 

Like its accompanying hotel, Coral Pool is fun and lively.

While the kids splash around, adults can enjoy the pool’s swim-up bar. Tropical drinks like Bahama Mamas and piña coladas make it easy to beat the heat!

Predator Lagoon

The Coral at Atlantis Nassau is steps away from Predator Lagoon.

Predator Lagoon at Atlantis is one of the park’s several aquariums. Home to sharks, rays, and other creatures, the lagoon offers an exciting look into the critical role ocean predators play in the ecosystem.

The lagoon offers two unique ways to view the animals on display. 

The tunnels allow you to immerse yourself into the stunning marine exhibits.

The tunnels let you see the animals at Predator Lagoon from their perspective. As you walk through them, you’ll feel as if you’re swimming alongside them in the deep. 

The Aquarium Overlook

The overlook offers guests a birds-eye view of the exhibits.

From the resort’s exterior, you can also see the animals from the overlook. These make it easy to peer into the exhibits and view the animals and their beautiful habitats.

If you want to experience Atlantis Resort Bahamas but don’t want to pay the prices of The Cove or The Royal, The Coral at Atlantis is a good choice. With the cheapest rooms costing just a bit more than a day pass, consider staying for a night or two to experience the resort.   

The Coral Atlantis: Getting in

As with any of the Atlantis Bahamas hotels, the easiest way to experience The Coral at Atlantis is by staying there. Doing so gives you access to the accommodations and most of the attractions throughout the resort. 

If you’re a guest at The Coral Atlantis, the resort offers a convenient (although not complimentary) shuttle service from Lynden Pindling International Airport on Nassau. Once on the shuttle, it’ll take you around 30 minutes to reach the Atlantis resort. Alternatively, taxis are also an option. 

Travelers not staying at Atlantis Bahamas can still visit the resort by purchasing a day pass. This will give you access to many of the main resort highlights, like Aquaventure Waterpark. 

From The Coral Atlantis, it’s easy to make your way to the resort’s other attractions.

The Coral at Atlantis: The Atlantis Resort Option for Families 

While all travelers can enjoy a stay at The Coral at Atlantis, families, in particular, will find it one of the top Atlantis Resort Bahamas accommodation options. Featuring kid-friendly amenities, spacious rooms, and access to some of the best Atlantis Bahamas attractions, the Atlantis Coral Towers are an excellent and budget-friendly option for all. 

Don’t leave Paradise Island without visiting Dolphin Cay, Cabbage Beach, or the Versailles Gardens and Cloisters. Unless you stay at The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort, you’ll only be able to see the latter from afar, but it’s still worthwhile.
