While many travelers know it as Atlantis Nassau, the sprawling resort is actually on a separate, nearby island called Paradise Island. Connected to the main island of New Providence by a bridge, the region began its transformation into the bustling tourist hub of today in the 1960s. 

During that time, developers and hotel moguls began building up the islands. This attracted travelers from around the world, as well as investors like former U.S. president Donald Trump. Atlantis Resort Bahamas opened its doors to the public a couple of decades later, in 1988. 

Hoping to cater to travelers craving luxury, The Cove Atlantis opened in 2007.  

The Cove is the most exclusive of the Atlantis hotels.

Rooms at The Cove Atlantis

With the upscale amenities comes a higher price point. A standard suite at Cove Atlantis Bahamas (as of 2024*) costs around $500 per night, with larger and more luxurious room options costing up to $3000 per night. 

Day pass rates (as of 2024*) are $255 for adults (ages 13 and older) and $140 for children (ages 4-12).

Previously a Marriott, all of the rooms embody the refined aesthetic found throughout the hotel.

The Cove Atlantis promises elegant, top-tier amenities. From the moment you step foot in the hotel lobby, the luxurious themes become evident. 

While accommodation options vary, all of them have more refined amenities than other Atlantis hotels. The standard hotel suite at The Cove, for example, features a drop-down living area with a sleeper sofa. Likewise, the bathrooms house large and inviting tubs. 

The more expensive accommodation options come with features like sleek finishes, large balconies, and sprawling living areas. 

The Cove Pool

The pool at The Cove is the only adults-only pool in the resort.

In line with the general exclusivity of The Cove Atlantis, The Cove Pool is an adult-only retreat. Recently renovated by luxury jewelry and home decor designer Lulu de Kwiatkowski, the pool is a colorful oasis where function and form coexist harmoniously. 

Never compromising on service, the area employs a dedicated cast of cabana butlers to ensure the needs of each and every guest are met.

Spacious Public Amenities

The Cove Atlantis features many comfortable and luxurious seating areas.

Outside of your room or suite, you’ll almost certainly enjoy the public spaces at The Cove. Featuring modern, high-end architecture and decor, the hotel features numerous places to gather, from the lobby to by the pool.

Aquaventure Waterpark

The Atlantis Resort Bahamas is home to the famous Aquaventure waterpark.

As a guest at The Cove Atlantis Bahamas, you’ll also have access to Aquaventure. This is the resort’s enormous water park that features slides, pools, a lazy river, and much more. 

Travelers not staying at the Atlantis Resort Bahamas can purchase a day pass to experience Aquaventure. 

Dolphin Cay

Dolphin Cay is another Atlantis Paradise Island attraction. Home to a pod of dolphins, numerous other species, and excursions that allow you to interact with them, Dolphin Cay is a highlight of the resort and something that travelers of all ages can enjoy. 

Like Aquaventure and the other Atlantis amenities, a day pass allows non-resort guests to experience Dolphin Cay.

Since The Cove Atlantis offers such an exclusive experience, it’s a bit removed from some of the Nassau attractions. The easiest way to remedy this is by taking the resort shuttle. These pass by every several minutes and make it easy to reach the other hotels and more distant attractions. 

Atlantis Paradise Island: Getting in

Staying at Atlantis Bahamas The Cove or another one of the resort’s hotels is the easiest way to experience it all. Doing so gives you access to not just the accommodations, but the resort’s other attractions, like Aquaventure. 

Guests staying at The Cove Atlantis can take the resort shuttle from Lynden Pindling International Airport upon arrival. It’ll take around 30 minutes to reach Atlantis Paradise Island. These aren’t complimentary, so taxis may be a more affordable option. 

Atlantis Resort Bahamas is easy to reach from the airport.

Day trippers or those looking to save a bit of money can purchase day passes. Although these passes are almost as expensive as some of the different Atlantis Nassau accommodation options, they allow you to experience some of what the resort offers.

It’ll take around 10 minutes to take a taxi from Downtown Nassau to Atlantis.

Travelers looking to pamper themselves can’t go wrong with booking a stay at The Cove Atlantis. From the accommodations to the swanky amenities, Atlantis Bahamas The Cove promises a high-end, elegant experience.
