Flights from Nassau to Harbour Island

We will fly you from Nassau to North Eleuthera Airport which is the closest airport serving Harbour Island.  Check-in is at 6am and flights depart at 7am. With only a short 30 minute flight to North Eleuthera, you will be greeted by out tour guide on arrival and transferred to Harbour Island by speed boat. Total transfer time from North Eleuthera to Harbour Island is 15 minutes. Expect to be arriving on Harbour Island around 8am, well ahead of the ferry and tour boats! Flights are included in the total tour price.

How to get to Harbour Island

With our convenient day trip package, you’ll be able to visit this unique Bahamas Island often described as the Nantucket to the Caribbean or the St Barts of the Bahamas. This small island is home to one of the wealthiest and most exclusive communities within the Bahamas. You will experience a door to door experience with Nassau hotel transfers included in the price. All transportation to and from Harbour Island is included in our Harbour Island Day Trip.

Dunmore Town was the original capital of the Bahamas, founded by Captain William Sayle in the 18th Century and taking its name from Lord Dunmore, the first governor of the Bahamas.

Our local Bahamian historian will take you on a fascinating guided tour and journey by golf cart through the meandering small lanes of Dunmore Town.

Harbour Island’s Landmarks

One of the many stops along our guided tour is the Lone Tree. A large piece of drift wood that found itself wedged into the sand bar after Hurricane Andrew has become a top tourist attraction on Harbour Island. You’ll have too wait for low tide to access the tree to avoid getting your feet wet.

Other places we visit on our guided tour includes the top luxury hotels on the island. The visually stunning and historic Pink Sands Resort has a beautiful club house and gift shop. It is often frequented by Hollywood film stars during christmas and spring break.

Another idyllic resort that we take you to is the Dunmore Hotel with it’s iconic turquoise and white beach parade. All the resorts offer lunch time dining options for our day trip guests and reservations can be made through us.

Our guided tour ends at Pink Sands Beach. From here you will be assisted by our tour guide with options for lunch (not included in the price). We will give each booking group a golf cart for use during the rest of day, please see details further below.

Enjoy free time at the Pink Sands Beach on our Nassau to Harbour Island Day Trip. The beach is so named because of the unique pink hue caused nu the millions of microscopic shells along the beach, which display a vibrant red color when wet.

We have the use of private beach chairs and beach umbrellas on Pink Sands Beach included in your day trip package. A locally Bahamian run full service beach club offer’s drinks and cocktails (Not included in the price).

For an additional fee* we offer horse riding of the Pink Sands Beach, one of the top things to do on Harbour Island! Horse riding can be purchased for 30-minutes or 60-minutes duration.

Enjoy complimentary Golf Cart Rental to explore Harbour Island

After our guided tour your group will be handed the keys to your own golf cart to use for the rest of the day. Golf Cart rental is included in the price of the day trip however the lead customer who wishes to drive the cart must be in possession of their driver’s licence and have a credit card to complete damage liability waiver. One golf cart per booking group.

Glass Window Bridge Excursion*

For an additional fee* we offer an excursion to the Glass Window Bridge on Eleuthera. This iconic bridge has become the top sight to visit on Eleuthera island. Prices are Per Person, fully inclusive of scheduled flights, Nassau hotel transfers, local taxes, transfers to Harbour Island, guided tour and beach access. See list below for what’s not included.
Adults & Children: $499pp (Minimum 2 persons)
For solo travelers there is a solo supplement of $199 extra.
Infants: FREE, if under age 2 (Ages 0-1), and can fly on a parents lap go free.

Important Notes
Please note this tour is not operated by Bahamas Air Tours, but local Bahamas operators. Each participant must complete a signed waiver before commencing the tour. The tour operator will send these electronically along with your tour confirmation email.
For the group tour option, we need a minimum of 48 hours notice (2 days before) to take your booking and get it reserved with the issue of tickets. Confirmation of your booking and place on the tour is only made after both payment and issue of tickets. Submitting the booking enquiry form on the website does not confirm your booking.
We encourage customers to book as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. Last minute booking requests during peak season (March & April) can be hard to fulfil.
We can’t guarantee all stops on the tour itinerary due to weather, sea conditions and progress of the group along the tour route.

5:15 AM: Nassau Hotel Transfer service pickup
6:00 AM: Check-in at Nassau Airport
Note: You will be travelling on a Scheduled Airline, there is no tour representative at Nassau airport.
7:00 AM: Scheduled Airline Flight Departs to North Eleuthera
Note: You will be greeted by your Tour Guide on arrival at North Eleuthera.
Flight schedules vary and your flight may have a quick transit stop at Governors Harbour.
7:45 AM: Transfers to Harbour Island by Speed Boat
8:00 AM: Arrival on Harbour Island. Breakfast (not included in price)
9:00 AM: Guided Historical Tour of Dunmore Town (Approximately 2 hours)
11:00 AM: Free time to explore Harbour Island and Pink Sands Beach.
3:30 PM: Transfers to North Eleuthera Airport
4:45 PM: Flight departs to Nassau Airport
5:15 PM: Arrival back in Nassau Airport
6:00 PM: Nassau Hotel Transfer service dropoff

What to Bring
If your tour is scheduled to fly by scheduled airline option you can check-in a bag weighing upto 44lbs with maximum dimensions 24″ x 16″. If you take just carry-on bags you must adhere to the 100ml liquids restriction (ie for sun cream etc). Make sure you pack:

• Face mask or covering (to be worn on the aircraft and indoors).
• Printed copies of your RT-PCR test result and Bahamas Domestic Health Visa certificate.
• Photo ID (Government ID is Required for check-in)
• Driving Licence & Credit Card for Golf Cart Rental Guarantee
• Money for tips ($US accepted in the Bahamas), most restaurants accepts credit cards for Lunch
• Cameras
• Battery pack phone charger if you take photos on your phone
• Sun protection; shirt, hat and sun cream
• Swim shorts
