Nassau to Exuma Day Trip

Our kids really wanted to visit the swimming pigs so we tried to book a boat tour from Nassau but there were none available. That’s when we found your tour by plane and really liked the idea of flying versus the long boat ride. We were thrilled that we could go by plane! Captain Dave made the boat tour so memorable, all the little extras and expert knowledge and local stories. Everything was well explained and how to interact safely with the swimming pigs. It felt great not being rushed or having time constraints. We couldn’t visit the Thunderball Grotto because of the tide conditions, but overall this was a 5-star experience, it went smoothly and we got really great photos and experiences together as a family. Your company was very quick to respond to us, we never heard back from the other company we enquired with! We have recommended to all our friends and family and mentioned that you can do this day trip from Miami as well!!

All the boat tours were cancelled that week so that is when my sister found your tour online. We had an excellent trip, Captain Dave was excellent and he looked after us all really well. We only had 6 on our boat tour. The Sharks at Compass Cay were crowded and the platform is very small, they need a bigger dock! Dave is very knowledgeable, knows all the pigs names and showed us how to pick up the baby pigs which I didn’t see other tours doing. He was very accommodating to our need.

Our powerboat tour from Nassau was cancelled because of high winds, so that is when I found the Bahamas Air Tour to Staniel Cay. It exceeded all our expectations, really enjoyed the swimming with sharks!

We really enjoyed your tour especially the Iguana beach that we had all to ourselves! Captain Dave is great, very friendly and personable. My daughter wanted picture perfect photos and he was able to get the pigs in shot! Everything went very smoothly and we really want to come back to Exuma and stay longer.

My group of 10 had an awesome time! The flight was a little scary for some because they don’t like big planes, let alone small planes. The boat and guide was great and informative and funny. The pigs and iguana parts we loved, and the sandy beach island was perfect.

Did this trip last week and all I can say is BRILLIANT.

This one day trip was fabulous! Perfect weather, seas and Capt Dave. Highly recommend the small group and the flight over the long boat ride, worth the extra money! I plan on doing this again but I wouldn’t do the extra sea turtle experience – 40 extra minutes there and back to Farmers Cay. Best pictures and memories!

We had the absolute best time on our day trip! We decided on the Bahamas for our honeymoon mostly to see the swimming pigs. 🙂 We stayed in Nassau and had initially booked our tour with another company that takes you to the pigs by boat. That tour was cancelled 3 times because of weather (high winds causing waves too big to travel by boat), and it didn’t look like we’d get to swim with the pigs before we left. But we found the fly-in tour and were able to book two spots for our last full day in the Bahamas.
The whole tour was completely amazing!!! We snorkeled with tons of colorful fish at Thunderball Grotto, visited a huge sandbar in the ocean, stopped at Compass Cay to swim with and pet the nurse sharks, then finally went to see the swimming pigs! We just loved them! We got to feed and swim with them, walk around the beach with them, and sit and rub their bellies. It was so much fun, and we felt like we had plenty of time at each of the stops. Afterwards, my husband and I had lunch on our own at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, which was great. Then we had time to sit on a beach for almost an hour before our tour guide came back to pick us up and take us back to the airport.
The whole day was such a blast, and the trip was worth every penny! We’re so glad we were able to book through this company on such short notice. Thank you for saving our honeymoon! 🙂

We visited the swimming pigs with your company in November . A fantastic day , we loved all the different elements & ‘Captain’ Kenton was brilliant. Totally laid back ( diving off the jetty with us) & informative .
The boat group only totalling 10 in number makes the trip feel special & not tourist herds as can be the case.
All in all a top trip , love to do it again .

What a memorable day spent seeing some of the most spectacular scenery and enjoying the flawless navigation with our guide and captain, Dave. We had unreal views of the Bahamas out islands on the roundtrip flights – just gorgeous. Everyone we encountered was kind and knowledgeable. Captain Dave was patient and informative and saw to it that we were safe yet also got to be adventurous! Swimming in the Grotto was spectacular as well as relaxing on the stretch of sandbar. The sharks and the swimming pigs of course were interesting but for us, the beauty of the surrounding waters and being on the boat was the most enjoyable.
I would recommend this trip for those who want to experience these things without the ‘masses’….saving the long boat ride to and from by flying is so worth the extra cost!!
There are two slight drawbacks and the first is my own fault for not inquiring: we would have liked to have brought some cold beers along with us for the day. Luckily, there was a shop on the island where we swam with the sharks that did sell cold beers and we definitely enjoyed relaxing there with a few! Secondly, once arriving back at the quaint airport, it was a 50 minute wait for our plane to arrive before we could head back. That wait sort of defeated the purpose of upgrading our day by flying…..would have been much happier to have spent that lost time out on the boat longer. Thank you to all helped make this day so memorable for us!

We had amazing time! From start to finish Bahamas Air Tours was excellent, pilot, captain, all exumas island experiences, incredible! Taking home many fun family memories.

By far the best experience I’ve had to date. The trip started off a little less luxurious than you can imagine with a regular shared bus (they could upgrade the buses especially since Baha mar picks you up in a Tesla or Mercedes whilst Bahamas air tours picks you up in a fairly older bus) but the staff and vendors they use are the nicest people they take you to the airport but to the private planes side on time and cordial, then the plane had a total of about 9 of us you pick your seats quick plane ride on a Cessna with the best views of the exumas breathtaking views. I also appreciated that the plane had air condition because we’ve been on a few of these that don’t, when you land in staniel cay it’s like you vacation just began it’s so quiet and peaceful out there couple of vacation homes near the airport dirt roads and golf carts for cars, very island life slow pace, they transferred us to a boat a 24-28’ dusky left a low tide and he carried us to the caves, provided snorkeling gear, one of the most unique experiences with a very experienced boat captain! We spent 20-30 mins there then visited the pig beach! Same thing another amazing experience! We then took the boat to the best beach I’ve ever been to in my entire life the open clearest water whitest sand cay! OMG I could stay here and just chill the entire day! Best part of the trip! But it still wasn’t over yet, we then hopped back on the boat and went to a marina where they had a restaurant and below the restaurant docks were sharks! Bottom feeding on what appeared to be bread and raw fish from the filet table this was super unique because you get to go in the water and swim with the sharks! The day still wasn’t over we went back to where the airport was to have lunch at a famous restaurant at the yacht club that everyone has been to from Sean Connery to the sandals resort ceo to Johnny depp food wasn’t that great and this was the only area of disorganization from the trip because some of the group paid for their meal some didn’t but the restaurant didn’t know who did from who didn’t so they billed us all we sorted it out after, the day still wasn’t done because after lunch we went to visit iguanas they weren’t out in full force we only saw one or two but it was very secluded and clear waters so still a good time! Then we headed back to the airport got on the plane and went back to our hotel. By far the best birthday trip I’ve ever experienced! 5 STARS

We did the all day excursion to Exuma. We had the best time. Captain Dave was amazing. Very knowledgeable and SUPER friendly and funny. He made the day a wonderful experience. Everything was on “our” time. He never made us feel rushed at any of the locations that we went to. He seemed to know very on in Exuma and everything about Exuma. We chose to fly because after reading all of the reviews it sounded like it was the way to go, and it was. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the girls with 3N. She was very nice and friendly. We went to the Bahamas for my daughter’s graduation trip, swimming with the pigs has been a dream of hers for the past 3 years. Needless to day this whole experience was worth every penny and completely, 100% met our expectations!!

My 19 year old daughter and I took a once in a lifetime trip together to the Bahamas recently. She booked us the Exuma Day Trip, flying in and boarding a boat excursion. I didn’t really know what to expect. Our experience was incredible and guide was fantastic. Our entire 8 day stay in the Bahamas was unforgettable but to us both, that day trip WAS the Bahamas. Swimming with the pigs, swimming and holding nurse sharks and having an iguana eat a snack on my lap… not something I will ever forget! The only way this trip could have been any better would have been if we turned around the next day and did it all over again. Thanks for the memories!

My husband and I booked the Nassau to Exuma Day trip (August 2021) and it was amazing!! It truly was the highlight of our vacation and we would definitely recommend it and do it again! We had booked a trip in 2020 but due to Covid we had to reschedule and the staff made it so easy. Captain Fishy was so fun and made our day so enjoyable. If I could give this rating more than 5 stars I would.

It was our first sister trip together and the Bahamas is well known for their swimming pigs. If you do a quick google search Bahamas Air Tours should be one of the top searches. Of course I had to do a lot of research to make sure they were legit, and after reading all the reviews, I decided to book with them. Best decision ever- the Exumas trip was the highlight of our vacation. Do know that the islands run on “island time” so if you tell a new yorker to be ready by 6am, we’ll be waiting at 5:45 only to be picked up at 6:20. No big deal, they all guarantee that you will not miss your flight. I saw why afterwards. When we got to the airport there was a bit of an issue during checkin, but nothing major that the airlines couldnt fix. Waiting for the plane was another waiting game. There was only one small plane to and from the exumas so you’ll have to wait a bit depending on which batch you’re flying (i was in the second plane to the exumas, and first plane back to nassau). The plane can get hot in the afternoon, but it’s a quick 30 mins with gorgeous views. The excursion itself was AMAZING. We were put in Captain Fishy’s care. Our group had around 10 people, and I even made a great friendship with one of them. Captain Fishy was great with his itinerary. He got us to the Grotto first thing while the current was still manageable. He said only swimmers can get down and explore, and for a good reason. Getting in the grotto was DIFFICULT! I cannot swim (unless doggy paddles are considered swimming), and i didnt want to burden the captain so i opted not to go, but he helped me and pulled me into the grotto like nothing was pushing me back out. It was amazing and im glad he helped me. (PS, im scared of water because i cant swim, so this entire excursion was me facing fears). He got us everywhere right away, before other people came to crowd, and he gave us more time to relax and enjoy each stop. Im deathly scared of sharks but that was my favorite part of the trip! Captain Fishy can be extremely playful as well (throwing fish towards you so the sharks flock towards you as well), and he taught us how to safely handle the sharks. Pig island…Captain Fishy was the only captain there that let his group hold a piglet and feed them. It was amazing and i felt so lucky. Everyone else was trying to pick up the piglets but captain fishy made sure his group got their chance and explained to the others that they couldnt pick up the piglets without their guide. Orher groups got back to the airport too early so they waited for the plane in the heat for a little too long. Captain fishy had everything planned out greatly so that we made the most of our excursion. Again, i only planned on swimming with pigs, but i enjoyed EVERYTHING on the itinerary and I felt completely safe throughout. Would definitely do again and hope to come back with more people. Plus if you have any questions leading to the day of your excursion (like paperwork, requirements, pickup…), I always got replies to my emails right away.

My family and I had an amazing time and would come back in a heartbeat!

I could not have been happier with my Nassau to Exuma trip! The experience was easy and stress free from being picked up to the very final drop off! The little bit more to upgrade and have shuttle service was 100% worth it as all we had to do in preparation was walk outside our hotel! Caption Fishy was AMAZING and really the cherry on top of the amazing tour. He was able to tell us amazing facts and stories of the area while keeping us laughing the whole time. I am already looking forward to planning this trip again and requesting Caption Fishy!

My better half and I had an absolutely wonderful day exploring the gorgeous Exuma highlights. Every time I reminisce about the trip or when checking or showing our pictures, I still have to pinch myself to believe that we had such an extraordinary day. The natural beauty is incredible, the pigs are awesome, but what made it great was the genuinely hospital, accommodating and friendly staff.

We highly recommend this trip. Captain Dave was our guide for the day. Terrific. The highlight for us was swimming with the pigs. We even got to bottle feed a baby piglet. It was a beautiful day on February 3, 2021. The flight from Nassau was on time. Everyone was very friendly. We brought our masks and snorkels. Captain Dave had them for anyone who needed them. The highlight of a weeklong stay on Paradise Island.

Amazing. There is no other word for the fabulous Pig Beach tour that we arranged with Bahamas Air Tour. From the very first enquiry, everyone was so helpful and friendly (I even had to change our date because of covid, which was done without issue and at no cost).

My wife and I opted for the VIP pick up in Nassau and to have a private boat. Everything went so smoothly and by going for the small private boat option we had every location (including pig beach) to ourselves, which was truly magical.

Thank you to the whole team, this was one of the most memorable days we had ever had and we really hope we will be back one day to do it all again.

We had on tour on March 9th. I don’t do well on boats so we decided to go to Exuma by air. Our flight was fast and comfortable. When we got to the boat for the tour we had an amazing time at every stop Captain Kinsley and Grace were amazing guides. They made the boat ride and the tour so much fun. When we bring our daughter back for the tour we will definitely be asking for them again.

Captain Dave is AWESOME!!! My time with Bahama Air Tours on March 30th was just wonderful! Captain Dave made this experience so much fun! For each activity, he gave us plenty of time to explore. He is very informative, where every stop we made he made sure to explain to the group the history and the upcoming of every area in Staniel Cay. I learned a lot! He is also very funny, where me and the group found ourselves laughing most of the day! He is very kind and was constantly checking in with everyone in the group to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. He even joined us in the activities and taught us the proper techniques to hold the nurse sharks, feed the pigs, feed the Iguanas and scuba dived with us! The island is beyond beautiful, and it was lovely to enjoy all the natural beauty of it. Overall, the whole staff is super nice and very helpful, I really appreciate it! Highly Recommend! I loved, loved, loved this trip! I’ve been to the Exumas before and did the boat tour before. It was perfect (again) I really felt like it every detail was great. The bus for pick up – on time. Great friendly driver. I’m a little scared of flying, but the pilot was great. The views were breath taking. Dave was our captain. Thank goodness he has a GREAT attitude. I really think he managed everyone’s expectations in a great fashion. We didn’t feel rushed. This was by far the BEST part of our trip. I was so thankful that I booked with you guys and did the flight. I can’t think of how horrible it would have been to take a boat from Nassau.
I felt very relaxed and not rushed. The only thing that I would want to look into in the future – I would consider doing a private tour on the boat so that I could have a longer time. Are you hiring? Lol. I want to move.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. My favorite was the excitement of Thunderball Grotto and my spouse enjoyed the Sharks the best. We had a great day with Captain Perry. We would love to come back and stay on Exuma next time, it’s so beautiful there.

This was our first time doing the exumas trip from Nassau and it was incredible!!!!! We opted for the private tour for 9 people and we want to book to go again! We are staying at Bahamar, they provided the transport to jet air, captain Alex took us on his dual prop airplane to Staniel cay, then we met up with Captain Perry which was awesome and accommodating for anything you need. We saw all the stops and felt like the timing was completely on spot and never a dull moment. Beer, drinks and snacks were provide for the adults and kiddos. Thunder ball grotto, sharks, pigs and sand bar where amazing to see. This is a lesser know air tour company but let me tell you I would 100% recommend them to anyone without any doubt. Only hiccup was a smaller vehicle was brought to pick us up at the hotel but “Aunty” was very polite and apologetic. We made it work and they corrected it on the way back. They watched for weather too to ensure a comfortable ride. Love these guys/gals and the hospitality every step of the way. Flight from Nassau is the only way to go! Thank you everyone for the excellent time and all of the accommodations and friendliness! Truly a memorable and a timeless experience.

What a great day. We managed all the stops on the tour – highlight for me were the pigs. But whole tour was well organised and comfortable without too many people crammed into the boat.
Would definitely recommend this day trip – fabulous. Would have quite like to go to harbour island as we were finished really early – like 230pm. Dont know if that would be a possible addition for a hour?

Whilst the tour on island finishes around 2:30pm there is sadly not enough time in the afternoon to visit any other islands (e.g Harbour Island which is in Eleuthera). The majority of our guests find that the 7am to 4pm length of the day is about right, and any longer would be too long. It is possible to visit Harbour Island from Nassau either by plane or ferry, but it requires a full day excursion, like with this tour to Exuma. The airport in Eleuthera is about a 20 minute boat ride to Harbour Island.

Everything was fantastic. Our captain was Fishy and he was amazing. He went above and beyond to assist my 6 year old with navigating into the grotto which was tricky. We felt that we were in good hands with Fishy. We had a great time and no complaints. Thank you for a great adventure.

My boyfriend & I went on this tour not really knowing what to expect. BUT let me tell you. IT WAS AMAZING!! From the moment the driver picked us up at our hotel until the time he dropped us back off. We loved every moment. Dave (our driver) was hilarious!! He showed us all the spots and talked about different history regarding the island on the way to the airport. The Pilot did a great job & we felt comfortable during the flight while seeing such a beautiful view of the islands from the sky. Once we landed — we jumped on our boat with Captain Dave. He was also amazing! Each spot was unique and fun in its own way. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXCURSION TO DO — THIS IS THE ONE. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! — definitely worth the money.

We did this as a family 5 adults and 4 kids (ages 4, 5, 8, 10). From the moment we were picked up until we were dropped we were treated very well. We have rode many times from the airport to the hotel but this time was so different since the driver explained the history on the way. The flight was flawless. Once we arrived went right to the boat and saw all the awesome experiences. Everybody was in awe of the color of the water. The food was awesome. We had a group of us that were vegan and the food option was amazing. Keep looking back at the pictures and smile. IT WAS GREAT

The pig and shark tour via plane was one of the best experiences of my entire life. On the plane ride I actually cried because I was SO happy that my boyfriend and I were able to have such an amazing experience. It made me feel so blessed to cross this off my bucket list. The pilot of the plane was great, everything was well organized, and our boat captain (captain fishy) was the best. Not only was he kind, he had a wealth of knowledge when it came to all marine creatures and great sense of humour. I could also tell that everyone involved had great respect for the ocean and the animals in the Bahamas. The flying pig cafe was delicious and beware…. The drinks are so strong! Just how we like them! Lol. Thanks to the whole 3N’s team for the best day ever. The plane and boat tour gets 11/10 from me.

This tour was prefect from the start. They kept us very informed on every aspect via email. Once we got on the boat. Captain Fishy was awesome and knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour. We never felt rushed or pushed and we had plenty of time at each spot. Highly recommended

We booked the tour from Nassau by plane, and oh my word, this is the best trip we have ever done, the organisation was perfect, fully informed about everything before hand, all the people who we had contact with were brilliant, from the lady who picked us up from our hotel to the pilot and also not forgetting captain K, they all made sure we had the best day ever, and we definitely had the best most memorable day ever! I would definitely recommend paying the bit extra compared to doing the tour all by boat, it was a trip of a lifetime, a definite VIP day for us. With all of that and the amazing things we saw and done made it first class!!

We booked a day trip to Exuma Cays through Bahama Air Tours. We were traveling with a group of 10 people. The air travel was a great experience. We were able to get a great view of the islands. The pilot was great and the landing was smooth. Took a private boat to several islands (Iguana Island, Pig Island, Thunderball Grotto, Swimming with the sharks and another sand bar). Ended with lunch and flight back to Nassau. Great experience. Would highly recommend.

This was the highlight of our vacation. We felt so lucky to have found this company. We beat all the crowds and spent plenty of time at each stop. Outstanding experience!!

The Exuma day trip is well worth it. This was our best day out of 7 days. We stayed ant Atlantis and had our ride pick us up in time, took us to a short flight, and brought us back to the hotel. Our captain was awesome and the things we saw and did were amazing. We had three kids and two adults and all of us said it was our best day. We will be back!

We booked a group trip for 11 of us to fly out to the Exumas and do a quick version of the trip as we were on a very tight timeline. The team from the booking process through to getting back to the hotel was extremely helpful, made us all feel very safe and lots of fun. We would absolutely encourage this for larger parties and groups who want to experience the trip but in a more intimate setting with family and friends. It was the highlight of the trip and we will absolutely be back!

The tour was amazing! The communication with you providing details and pickup was wonderful and every aspect exceeded our expectations! We had Dave the driver which was entertaining to the airport where you had upgraded us to a semi private flight which was very unexpected. The pilot was wonderful, take offs and landings were top notch. Then when we arrived in Exema we were greeted and Captain K was our boat Captain. He was so good with our family of 10. The stops were amazing and we had plenty of time at each stop. The kids favorite was the nurse sharks but the grotto was very unexpected and maybe my favorite. The kids loved the sandbar stop. I thought we were going mainly for the swimming pigs, which were great, but each stop got better. Thank you so much for showing our family one of the best excursions we have ever had!

What a great day – this tour is amazing from start to finish! The communication leading up to the trip was fantastic. Pick up at the hotel was punctual and the driver was very friendly and informative. The executive airport was clean and welcoming. The flight was a quick 35 minutes, and the pilot was also very friendly (as was Captain Dave who was also on our flight). Once we landed in Staniel Cay – we were greeted and taken right to the boat. Captain AJ was awesome! We hit our 7 stops, and each location was amazing in its own way. Captain AJ was professional. helpful, informative, and made the interaction at each location so much fun! He made our trip honestly! Last stop was lunch, and I highly recommend the fish sandwich and also order some cracked conch -delicious!!!! Great photos and videos – and my drone footage at the sand bar is awesome! Overall, this was the highlight of our trip and well worth the money – one of the best tours I’ve been on in a long time! Thank you to the entire staff!

This tour was by far the most amazing and well organized tour. The pilot was fantastic, our captain of the boat was fantastic and funny. Communication was great for pick up times. Also got to see the pigs, sharks, iguanas, snorkeling along with a plane wreck. The food was good and everyone was very friendly

We had the absolute best time on our Exuma Day trip. Every step of the day was perfectly planned, communicated, and executed by your staff. From pick up at our hotel, to our airport and flying experience, to our boat tour and captain, to our lunch and then return home– the entire day went off without a hitch. We saw so many beautiful places on our tour, and we were the only people at most of the stops we made. We felt like we were in our own private paradise most of the day. I wholeheartedly would recommend your company to anyone. We hope to come back again in the future when our kids are older and can join in on the experience with us!

Our Exuma day trip was amazing. Our captain was great. He made sure we interacted with the animals and gave up plenty of time at each stop. We loved that the pigs had names, liked their bellies rubbed, and knew how to sit. The sharks were a lot of fun. Our captain showed us how to hold them under their bellies. After the tour was over, he walked us to this adorable restaurant, The Flying Pigs. This restaurant was absolutely adorable. They accommodated our extra food and drink orders. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during our trip to The Bahamas.

This was one of our all-time favorite days! We enjoyed this trip so much and Captain Dave was the best! Each stop was so special, and it was so fun getting to hang with the pigs, sharks and iguanas. I highly recommend this experience and hope we get to do it again soon!

The day trip was definitely in my top ten list of experiences. I would recommend it to anyone considering it. The views on the way from Nassau to Staniel Key were Amazing from the air. The boat tour and lunch were super cool with the crystal clear water. Definitely would do it again!

I had the pleasure of joining a day trip with Bahamas Air Tours to Staniel Cay, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The organization was excellent, everything ran smoothly, from the flight arrangements to the guided stops along the way.

Flying over the Exumas was absolutely breathtaking. Visiting the famous swimming pigs, snorkeling at Thunderball Grotto, seeing the sharks and iguanas, and relaxing on the sandbars made it a truly unique adventure. Each location felt pristine and untouched, a perfect escape from everyday life.

The team was professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about creating memorable experiences. I appreciated the attention to detail and the relaxed atmosphere throughout the day.

I booked via email just before flying out from the UK and the agents were extremely professional by responding quickly and answering all my questions.

I have to say this tour was the highlight of our holiday. Seeing the unusual sites such as the grotto and sunken aircraft was something different to enjoy along with the iguanas and pigs. We were fortunate to see a reef shark just casually swim amongst the pigs and also seeing a chicken grab some food from the pigs was just brilliant.

At another stop point where you get to swim the sharks, I had been unsure, but once there it felt so safe to have a swim and I must have been one of the last in my group to leave the water. It was so different from my experience in BoraBora which was just choatic and quite scary due to so many people.

All stop points had few visitors, maybe due to the xmas week? This meant there was no queuing and being able to roam about at each stop and take in the surroundings was just perfect.

We were a group of 8 on our boat which was really nice. Our Captain on the boat was from Exuma and was such a nice fella and good to chat too. Whilst the tide was against us he still managed to find a sand island for us to enjoy.

I am so happy I found this tour because up to a week before heading to Bahamas from the UK we were strugging to find something that offered more than most tour companies.
