All you need to know for your trip to Bahamas
Taking a trip to Bahamas soon? First, you’ll need to budget for your Bahamas holidays. You should have a good idea of your specific Bahamas trip cost before leaving. Which areas of your budget do you give the most leeway to?
For some, their Bahamas holidays must take advantage of all the great Bahamas attractions. Therefore, they are more likely to spend on day tours. Other vacationers may rather spend their money on a relaxing resort day fee or stay which we’ve found the best resorts in the Bahamas for those. Then, there are the party people who are all about nightlife and having a good time. If you know that’s you, focus your budget around the booze.
No matter what kind of traveler you are, it is important to make your budget according to what you will most likely spend on. If you are not the type of person to keep track of a budget, you may want to check out some of the excellent Bahamas trip packages available through the Bahamas Air Tours website.

Where to go
The Bahamas is a vast island country with different activities and cultures all over. There are so many options for you and your family depending on who you are. If you start in Miami, it is easy to find a day tour or flight to virtually anywhere in the Bahamas if you are flying by way of Bahamas Air Tours.
Most people take off to Nassau and draw out their Bahamas vacation from there, focused around all the exciting Nassau Bahamas activities. In the country’s capital, it is easier to access all islands as well.
How to get there
When traveling the Bahamas, tourists are limited to four options or ways of travel.
First, you can take a private plane tour which is the trendy new way to spend your vacation and allows you to see the most on your trip. Skip the queues and fly comfortably.
Second, you can take a ferry. This is another popular option among tourists, however, it can often mean crowded decks and regular sea-condition delays. Especially when on a one day trip, delays are not ideal.
Next, there are speedboats to some locations. There isn’t a speed boat to every island. No form of transportation provides a route to every island. You have to arrange your own way to get to some places which are really remote.
Last, sometimes you will have to hire your own boat or a fisherman to give you a ride. This is a common trick for those short trips which ferries try to charge a fortune for. Instead, negotiate a rate with the local who has a boat.

Where to stay
On the blog, we have detailed where to stay whether it is a Bahamas resort or the other Bahamas accommodation. We have encompassed every traveler’s budgets and ran through all the needs of Bahamas vacation-goers.
When should you go?
The Bahamas is an all-year-round vacation destination. Visitors flock from all over North America and Europe at every point of the year. However, you will notice more visiting in the winter months (usually mid-December to mid-April) which is why it is considered the peak season.
Unless you are a person highly tolerant of party atmospheres, we suggest avoiding the Bahamas in March and the first half of April as this is often the Spring Breaker’s time to tear through the islands. If you must go in this time, we suggest making your vacation to the Exuma Cays where, at least, it is a little quieter and secluded.
June through November is the dreaded hurricane season although hurricanes in the Bahamas are seriously infrequent.
What to do in the Exumas
The Exumas are one of the most exciting and beautiful places in the Bahamas, yet, the reputation of being an oasis getaway from the hustle and bustle of the rest of tourism in the country has not been enough to ruin the quietness. How the region has managed to stay so secluded is quite unknown, but it is definitely worth checking out. We’ve made it our goal to give you all the top things to do in the Exumas whether it is on a day trip or longer stay.
